DC Chaired DCC/DLRC meeting at Changlang
Changlang 27th April 2023: The District Consultative Committee (DCC) /District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meetings for Qtr ended March 2023, convened by SBI’s Lead Bank Office held at DC Conference Hall, Changlang on Thursday.
It was Chaired by DC, Changlang, Sunny K. Singh, IAS and attended by DDM, NABARD, Kamal Roy; LDO, RBI, Sukesh Biswas; LDM, SBI, Subhrangshu Dey; Bank Managers of SBI, PNB & Apex banks; representatives of Indian Payment Postal Bank (IPPB); ArSRLM; CCRMS and HODs of line departments.
DDM, NABARD, Kamal Roy delivered the welcome address and highlighted the importance of the meeting, which is the highest forum at the district level for bankers as well as Government agencies/departments to facilitate coordination in implementing various developmental activities. He advised all the bank branches to conduct Financial Literacy Camps in villages in their operation area keeping District Administration(DA) in the loop and also to propagate about different “Social Security Schemes”.
Expressing concern over the low CD Ratio in the district, DC Changlang, Sunny K Singh advised the BMs to make strategies to achieve the targets under Priory Sector Lending (PSL) and asked them to support the movement of SHG Bank Linkage programme by ArSRLM. He proposed to have a meeting soon wherein all the trade license holders, contractors etc. will be invited and banks can take that opportunity to propagate the bank schemes and generate business for advances. He requested all the HODs and Bank Managers to work as a team to achieve the targets and deliver better services to the public. He advised Bank officials to take the help of DA to cover the Rural People working in unorganized sectors to cover them with social security schemes viz. PMJJBY, PMSBY, APY etc. He further advised banks to achieve the target under ACP of the current financial year.
Sukesh Biswas, LDO, RBI advised LDM to get the Lead Bank Returns on time and present the data branch-wise so that the committee can review the progress of different schemes implemented through banks.
Subhabgshu Dey, Lead District Manager (SBI) shared the status of the CD ratio, KCC loan, advances to Priority Sector Lending, PMJDY, PMSBY, PMJJBY, APY, GSS etc.
